In Marina del Rey

The Visit Marina del Rey website has a holiday events page filled with ideas for how to spend the holidays – safely. As with anything, check for any last-minute changes. Some ideas include:

  • The Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Lights Display will brighten the waterfront. The public is invited to walk, bike or paddle throughout the harbor to see the boats decorated in holiday lights.
  • Stroll along Fisherman’s Village and enjoy stunning sunsets followed by nightly twinkling Christmas lights throughout December.

In Costa Mesa

You can check out the Events Calendar on the Travel Costa Mesa website for local ways to enjoy the holidays. Some unique options include a streaming event of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and the Winter Fest OC Festival of Lights drive through a “winter wonderland of lights.”

At South Coast Plaza

In addition to a wide array of unique shopping and dining (take out) options, South Coast Plaza offers a number of festive holiday celebrations. Visit the center’s website for helpful tips to enjoy your visit plus Check out Holiday 2020 at South Coast Plaza. Learn about the Pavilion of Holiday Trees, a one-of-a-kind exhibit of 36 beautiful trees decorated by local, national and global arts organizations. All the trees were featured in an online auction, with proceeds benefitting the participating arts organizations.

At Riverside – Mission Inn

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa presents Christmas Lights at the Inn.  This year, the hotel will feature dazzling lights on the exterior of the hotel, interior lighting and holiday décor that captures the true essence and history of the award-winning Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. Learn more here.
